Amla,also known as Indian gooseberry,is the fruit of the a small deciduous tree native to India.In Hinduism,the amla tree is considered sacred to Goddess Lakshmi.A much-beloved staple of traditional Ayurvedic medicine,amla is considered a cooling pitta herb. It is known for being an abundant source of vitamin C and antioxidants. Our Amla powder is made from tree-ripened whole berries with the seeds on for higher nutrient levels, dried at low temperatures and finely ground to preserve the unique flavor and nutrition. Amla powder tastes best when added to fruity juices and smoothie concoctions or even as a salad seasoning. It can also be consumed directly as powder.
